If you are having problems communicating from a PC to the Wraptor printer using USB, try the steps below.
- If running Windows 7 or newer, you may need to use a serial to USB adapter since newer printers may not communicate properly via the printer's USB port. This is most evident when the USB port is showing as "Unknown" in the Device Manager and Under "Unspecified" in Devices and Printers. See link below for what to purchase.
- On the Wraptor, press the config tab. Make sure the USB is selected in the connection type field.
- On your PC, go to the list of printers (depending on your operating system it may be in Start / Printers, / Start / Setup / Printer & Faxes, Start / Devices and Printers, Start / Control Panel / Printers) Right click on the Wraptor print driver, click on properties, and click on the ports tab. The port selected should be w_usb. If you don't see this selection, then please refer to the next solution.
