TLS label parts use an old style Smart Cell (computer chip in the label rolls), which use just the printable area.
- Do not include the label area which contains preprinted data, the clear self laminating portion of wire marker labels
- Do not include the sleeve carrier area that surrounds and attached heat shrink sleeves to the liner.
These parts use a slightly smaller printable area plus 0.236 left margin. For Example 0.461 x 0.965 with 0.236 Left Margin would be the page setup for a .5 x 1” label.
You would also need to check the box for TLS2200/TLSPC Link in the Printer Compatibility section of custom label part creation screen, general tab:
- Labelmark, click on Manage then Custom Parts.
- Brady Workstation, select the Label Settings button/icon/tile in the Tools area below the Apps area on the Home screen.
In Labelmark and Brady Workstation, if using stock label parts originally designed for the TLS printers and you will be printing to a TLS printer, be sure to select the part that ends in (TLS2200).
For Example: select PTL-16(TLS2200) if printing to TLS2200. If printing to a BMP61 (TLS replacement/next generation printer model, which can use TLS label parts) you would just select PTL-16.
Another example: PSPT-250-1 for BMP61 printer, PSPT-250-1(TLS2200) for TLS printer.
